    vintage ambiance
    local wines
    exquisite dinner
    limited breakfast selection

What a magical spot! I adored the exquisite dinner with local wines and the cozy, vintage atmosphere really made it feel special. The only downside was the limited breakfast selection. I wished for more vegetables.

Breathtaking Douro Valley views, inviting historical decor, impressive antique collections

Poor maintenance of facilities, including the pool area and lounge chairs, really detracts from the experience!!! Limited parking and narrow access roads make arriving a hassle!!!

    communal dining experience
    hard bed

The communal dining experience was delightful, with candlelit dinners that created a warm, intimate atmosphere.

However, the bed in my room was a bit hard, which impacted my overall comfort during the stay.

    charming atmosphere
    beautiful vineyard
    hard bed

The atmosphere at Rural Casa Dos Viscondes Da Varzea is truly charming. The property is surrounded by stunning vineyard views and beautifully maintained gardens. I particularly enjoyed the communal dining experience, where I had dinner with other guests under a candlelit ambiance, making it feel special and intimate. The warm hospitality from Maria, the owner, added a personal touch that made me feel welcomed. However, the bed in my room was a bit hard, which affected my comfort. Additionally, some furnishings seemed a bit dated and could use an update. There was also an inconvenience with the power going out during the night, forcing me to use my phone flashlight to navigate. But overall, the delightful breakfast selection and quality of the dinner were highlights of my stay.

    silver service

    Couples retreat, worth it

We had this very nice moment when we were welcomed by this guy Francisco, he showed us to this spacious room that felt just like home, cozy and comfortable. Dinner was like stepping back in time, silver service and a menu of local wines just made everything perfect.

Yeah, it wasn’t exactly cheap , but the experiences outweighed the cost.

    charming estate

    Perfect for a romantic getaway

Staying here was like stepping back in time! The wine from the estate was very nice, and sharing the communal dining with other guests just made the vibes even better!

It wasn’t cheap, but I’d say it’s still acceptable for what you get!
